The City of Belfast is soliciting bids for the purchase and installation of a high efficiency, sealed-combustion, condensing boiler for the Belfast Fire Station. Bidders shall be responsible for determining the average B.T.U. requirement for the area to be heated. Documentation of calculation to be submitted with your bid. Please contact Fire Chief, Jim Richards, at the Belfast Fire Station to further obtain any information, (207) 338 3362, or stop into the Fire Station, 273 Main Street, Belfast Maine. Bidders are requested to submit their proposal to the City Clerk’s office, 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine 04915 on or before 11:00 a.m., October 16, 2015 with bids to be opened publicly in the Council Chambers, in City Hall, at this time. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked clearly City of Belfast “Fire Station Boiler” . As an agency of government, the City of Belfast is exempt from payment of the State of Maine sales or use tax. Therefore bids should exclude such taxes. Federal excise certification shall be executed upon request of favorable bidder. The City of Belfast reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and/or all bids submitted. The City also reserves the right to waive any formality or technicality. The award of the bid may be based on price, quality, and service or deemed in the best interest of the City.
