Lucas County Construction Pre-Qualification: To ensure that all contractors performing construction work for Lucas County demonstrate the capability, integrity, and reliability necessary to responsibly deliver quality public projects. The Lucas County Responsible Contractor Policy establishes a uniform prequalification process designed to promote fair and equitable evaluation of all entities seeking to do construction business with the County, safeguard public funds, and support a highly skilled local workforce. Beginning January 1, 2026, all contractors and subcontractors seeking to do construction work for Lucas County must be prequalified as responsible before any work may be assigned or awarded. Prequalification applications are accepted throughout the year. Returning applicants should refer to their Prequalified Certificate, the List of Prequalified Business Entities, or contact the Board of Lucas County Commissioners regarding when to re-apply.
