Print Bid Title: Belfast Boathouse Window/Door/Shutter Instillation Category: City Manager Status: Closed Description: Invitation to Bid Belfast Boathouse Window/Door/Shutter Instillation The City of Belfast is inviting bids for carpentry work on the Belfast Boathouse to replace windows, doors, shutters, and associated trim work. Minimum specifications include: • Install 8 35”X 65” windows. • Install 1 76”X 65” window. • Install 3 new doors with aluminum finish closures and door handles. • Install trim work as needed. • Replace 9 pairs of shutters. • Some sheet rock and mudding may be needed. *All of the above items will be purchased by the City, this bid is only for instillation of the items. Please state any deviations: _________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ The successful provider of this work is expected to visit the Belfast Boathouse prior to bidding. Two mandatory pre-bid walk through are scheduled for Thursday March 21st, 2013, one at 10:00 a.m and a second at 3:00 p.m., must only attend one. Insurance The contractor shall obtain and maintain public liability insurance with a single limit of liability of not less than $1,000,000. The contractor shall obtain and maintain, for the life of the contract, a workers compensation policy conforming to the Maine State Worker’s Compensation requirements. The contractor shall have his insurance carrier(s) provide a certificate of insurance on each of the above policies – made out in favor of the City of Belfast, naming the City as an “Additional Insured” – and sent directly to the City Manager, showing the coverage to be in effect for the full duration of this agreement. Bids Due Bids shall be made out on the following forms and placed in a sealed envelope, marked on the outside, “Belfast Boathouse Window/Door/Shutter Instillation”. Bids shall be sent to the following address: City Manager, 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine 04915. Inquiries concerning this bid should be directed to: Jennika Lundy, Administrative Assistant to the City Manager, 131 Church Street, Belfast, Maine 04915 or by calling 338-3370, ext 10. Bids must be received at the City Manager’s Office no later than Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. The bids will be publicly opened March 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of Belfast City Hall.
