Print Bid Number: DWS Job No. 13-02A Bid Title: Construction of Two Monitor Wells at the Kaupakulua Well Site Category: Construction - All Construction Status: Closed Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED BIDS for the CONSTRUCTION OF TWO MONITOR WELLS, AT THE KAUPAKULUA WELL SITE, DWS JOB NO. 13-02A, HAIKU, ISLAND OF MAUI, STATE OF HAWAII, will be received by the Director of the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th floor, 200 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, until 2:00 P.M. ON MARCH 21, 2013, at which time and place sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as specified in the bid documents necessary to drill and case, two new 6-inch diameter monitoring wells, approximately 80 feet and 1,180 feet in depth, respectively. The two monitoring wells will be located at the Kaupakalua well site. Additionally, the Contractor will hire a consultant from the attached list to design the two monitoring wells. Bid documents may be purchased from the Engineering Division of said department at a cost of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) PER SET. A compact disk (CD) containing the bid documents can also be purchased for an additional FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00). There will be no refund for these bid documents once they are purchased. Payment shall be in the form of cash, check or money order payable to "Department of Water Supply". A pre-bid conference and tour of the project site will be scheduled on March 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM. All Bidders ARE ENCOURAGED to attend. Bidders shall meet at the Department of Water Supply, Kalana O Maui Building, 5th floor, 200 South High Street. Bidders intending to attend this pre-bid conference are requested to call 270-7835 and inform the Department of Water Supply of their intent to attend the conference at least THREE (3) days prior to the date of the pre-bid conference. To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess applicable and valid State of Hawaii contractor licenses to perform the work. Bidders must NOT be more than 180 days over the Contract Time (without approved Time Extensions) on any current Department of Water Supply Capital Improvement Projects. This includes subsidiary companies. Bids must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, including additives, payable to the "County of Maui" and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended. _____________________ Danny F.
