Print Bid Number: #2017-21 Bid Title: Wastewater Manhole Rehabilitation Category: Public Works Status: Closed Description: WASTEWATER MANHOLE REHABILITATION (Spin Cast Method) City Project #2017-21 Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, bi-pass pumping, tools and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of certain Wastewater Manholes in the City of Mitchell will be accepted on the following items: Approximately 314.4 vertical feet of manhole rehabilitation on 20 manholes; Rehabilitate and coat the bottom (floor) of 20 manholes. Sealed bids will be received until 1:30 P.M., Thursday, May 18, 2017 by the City Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, City Hall, 612 N. Main, Mitchell, SD 57301 where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The City reserves the right to award said project within 45 days of the opening of said bids. Proposals shall be made on the blank forms prepared by the City of Mitchell and must be executed in complete accordance with the requirements contained in the “Instructions to Bidders” section of the Specifications. Specifications with plan sheets are on file in the Public Works Office located in City Hall at the above address and may be obtained from the Public Works office by calling 605-995-8435. Bids shall be addressed to: Finance Officer, 612 N. Main, Mitchell, SD 57301 and clearly marked on the outside envelope as well as any inside envelope as follows: City Project #2017-21 Wastewater Manhole Rehabilitation Bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid shall be required. Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State and countersigned by a resident agent payable to the Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, SD, must accompany the proposal as guaranty the bidder will enter into a contract within 10 days after the award of the contract upon demand. In lieu of a bid bond, a Certified Bank Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid will be accepted. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
